Sculptra

Regain your collagen (and your youth) with Sculptra.

The Treatment

Sculptra is a long-lasting, clinically-proven, non-invasive, stimulating injectable treatment, administered by one of our trained medical professionals, that is designed to smooth out and soften lines and wrinkles, restore facial volume and contour the face in a natural way.

Once we become adults, we start losing 1% of our collagen every year, it’s part of aging. A fibrous protein in our skin’s deep dermis, collagen is a key component of healthy-looking skin: it’s gives our skin structure and supports the function of elastin and hyaluronic acid. Elastin maintains the skin’s shape and hyaluronic acid protects and hydrates the skin. When we have more collagen, we have more elastin and hyaluronic acid.

How it Works

Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis where collagen strands support your skin’s structure. Over time, it will help your body reproduce lost collagen.

From person to person, the amount of Sculptra injected depends on how much collagen has been lost. For the first 24-48 hours there is fluid in the face which gets reabsorbed.

The collagen stimulating process starts at about two weeks post treatment, but results are usually visible within 8-12 weeks. At that time a second treatment may be performed.

Unlike fillers, Sculptra is a stimulant injection that triggers your skin to regrow its collagen. The Sculptra is absorbed by your body, leaving behind a new collagen layer.

Sculptra uses Poly-L-Lactic acid which works with your own body’s production of collagen and thickening of the skin; over time, filling in fine and deep lines and softening facial contours. Results will occur in over eight weeks, as the body needs time to grow new collagen.

Our Appointment Process

During your first visit, you will have a consultation with our doctor to ensure you are a candidate. Together with our Injection Team, you will determine which areas you would like treated, cover any treatment concerns, create a treatment plan, and outline a budget.

Once a treatment plan has been created, your recommended treatment, or the first steps of your treatment plan, will be performed. Once your service is completed, we will review any homecare required and will then book you for a follow up appointment to ensure best results or to complete the next step of your treatment plan.
