Botox® & Dysport®

Rejuvenate Facial Youth and Beauty

The Treatment

Botox® is the most popular cosmetic treatment in the world by far, for the simple reason that it works! During the natural aging process, our skin undergoes a number of changes that result in increased lines and wrinkles. The movement of muscles under your skin causes prominent lines and wrinkles to develop with age. Our FDA-approved Botox® and Dysport® injections help create a smoother facial profile by softening facial wrinkles and lines.

Botox® and Dysport® block signals from the nerves to the muscles where it is injected. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes current wrinkles to relax and soften. Wrinkles and lines are caused by movement so preventing movement of the muscles eases off current wrinkles as well as preventing future ones.

Our Appointment Process

Once a treatment plan has been created, your recommended treatment, or the first steps of your treatment plan, will be performed. Once your service is completed, we will review any homecare required and will then book you for a follow up appointment to ensure best results or to complete the next step of your treatment plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Cost?
Cost varies by treatment area and is dependent on how strong the muscles pull in each patient. For example: Horizontal forehead lines may range from $60-$200. Frown lines between the brows may range from $150-$400. Crow’s feet may range from $200-$400.

A personalized treatment plan will be developed during your consultation on your first visit. Our team aims to give the best outcome for the patient with the lowest dosing possible.

How does Botox work?
Botox works by weakening the muscles into which it is injected. As facial muscles contract, the loose skin above those muscles wrinkles. By weakening the muscles, the wrinkles are reduced.

How Long does it last?
Botox® and Dysport® kick in anywhere from 2-7 days after treatment. Individual results will vary, and can last anywhere from 4-8 months.

What are the side Effects?
Common short-term side effects include: headache, minor bruises and/or swelling around the site of injection. VERY rare side-effects include a dropped brow, and blurred vision.

Am I a candidate?
Before treatment our physician will complete a medical profile with you to ensure this is the best treatment for you. Certain allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy and breastfeeding prevent clients from being able to receive Botox® and Dysport®. In that case we will explore other treatment options with you that our estheticians can perform.

What happens if I stop treatments?
Nothing! If for any reason you choose to stop receiving Botox® or Dysport® treatments there will be no negative effects. In fact, if Botox® or Dysport® was used for prevention you will see wrinkles may take longer to appear. However, overtime without the use of these prescribed medicines you will see the return or increase of depth, and over all wrinkles and lines.

Is it painful?
Botox®, itself, is not painful. The pain is associated with the needlestick. The smaller the needle, the better it is tolerated. When a volume of fluid is injected under the skin, it temporarily stimulates some of the nerve fibers. Everyone's threshold for these occurrences differs from person to person.

Is it Safe?
Botox injections have been available for a long time and have been heavily studied by doctors from around the world. You’re more likely to experience adverse side effects if your injections aren’t prepared according to FDA standards or injected by an inexperienced doctor.
